9649 (2024). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Did she discuss the Kaiwhakaoranga service with members of the Christchurch Muslim Communities in coming to her conclusion that the need for the service had "diminished over time”; if so, with whom and on what dates?

Hon Louise Upston: The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) has developed a communications approach with key stakeholder groups and is working proactively with the affected community to help support those affected through the transition of the Kaiwhakaoranga service ending. I am happy with the approach the Ministry is taking to support the affected community.
