9585 (2024). Glen Bennett to the Minister for Economic Development: Does the Minister stand by her statement in the house on 01.05.2023 that “one of the things that we are actually trying to do is grow the economy” and if so, can she name any actions she as Minister for Economic Development is taking to grow the economy?

Hon Melissa Lee: Yes, I stand by my statement in the House on 1 May 2024. As Minister for Economic Development I can inform the member that we have an ambitious target in growing the New Zealand economy to double the value of exports over the next decade, continue to support major events, increase foreign direct investment and improve the Government Procurement System by reducing red tape and bureaucracy.
