9524 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister for Resources: What advice, if any, has the Minister sought to back up the assertion that "fossil fuels like coal play a role in our energy transition," listed by title, date, intended audience?

Hon Shane Jones: There are numerous reports on the role of fossil fuels in New Zealand's energy transition including advice from the Climate Change Commission. I have not sought any additional advice and none is needed to back up the assertion.
