Camilla Belich to the Minister for Energy: What technology or software systems, if any, used by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible have been identified as end-of-life, unsupported, or requiring urgent replacement since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, system name, purpose, and estimated replacement cost?
Hon Simon Watts: Electricity Authority: System name: Office IT network Purpose: Provides connectivity to office devices including laptops, meeting rooms, printing and WiFi Date and reason for replacement: currently undergoing replacement due to reaching end of life Estimated replacement cost: $40,000 System name: iManage Purpose: information management system Date and reason for replacement: the Authority decommissioned iManage in 2025 because it was unable to meet collaboration requirements, and replaced it with SharePoint Estimated replacement cost: no replacement cost, as SharePoint is included in the Authority’s existing Microsoft user licensing. ECCA: EECA has a modernisation plan in progress to ensure all software and services are up-to-date and supported by the vendor; however, providing details of these systems could prejudice the ongoing security of EECA’s systems and networks. This work is scheduled to be completed by end of June 2026 using existing internal resources.
