9498 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Economic Growth

9498 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Economic Growth: What technology or software systems, if any, used by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible have been identified as end-of-life, unsupported, or requiring urgent replacement since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, system name, purpose, and estimated replacement cost?
Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment operates a range of technology and software systems that include platforms, applications and components that vary from Enterprise-wide usage through to individual teams. Across MBIE there are hundreds of technology and software systems in use. As such manually collating the data in the way the Member has asked for would require substantial staff resources and thus cost to the taxpayer. I do not believe that this would be in the public interest. Investments and maintenance of these technology and software systems are prioritised through available funding and risk-based assessments that include end of life, unsupported or urgent requirements.
With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am advised there are none.
