Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that Earth Science New Zealand, the Bioeconomy Science Institute, PHF Science, and REANNZ have not distributed any funding to any entity in which a current member of the governing parties’ boards, officers, or staff holds a governance or paid role since 27 November 2023. Callaghan Innovation has advised that it is not possible to provide this information within the timeframe available, as it would require a fully manual reconciliation exercise across approximately 2.5 years of payment data. I do not consider it in the public interest for them to do so.
