9463 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Can he confirm the $15.5 million savings ordered across hospitals in Auckland will not impact front line services?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Yes. I am advised that Health New Zealand has taken steps to tighten management control over budgets to ensure it does not overspend the appropriation it received in Budget 2023. It will be able to do this without affecting frontline services.
