9457 (2024). Rachel Boyack to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: When does he expect to reinstate live animal exports by sea, as referenced in the National Act Coalition Agreement?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: Reinstating livestock exports by sea will require amending the Animal Welfare Act 1999. I do not have an exact date as this will follow the standard legislative process. But I am anticipating that the legislation will be passed sometime in 2025.
