9406 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: How much, if anything, did the Minister's departments, if any, spend on purchasing goods or services from Tesla Inc in the 2023 calendar year?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service did not purchase any goods or services from Tesla Inc in the 2023 calendar year. The New Zealand Customs Service administers invoices and procurement as the servicing department and appropriation administrator for the Border Executive Board. The Border Executive Board has not spent any money on Tesla Inc in the 2023 calendar year
