9395 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Police
Written Question
Published date: 07 Apr 2026
9395 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Police: What technology or software systems, if any, used by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible have been identified as end-of-life, unsupported, or requiring urgent replacement since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, system name, purpose, and estimated replacement cost?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to the attached table, which sets out Police ICT systems identified as approaching end of useable life, although in most cases remain in extended support or best endeavours support.
Some replacement cost estimates have been withheld as I do not believe it is in the public interest to release at this time.
Between 27 November 2023 and 23 March 2026, the Serious Fraud Office has identified two technology or software systems as end-of-life, unsupported, or requiring urgent replacement.
As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to answer this question in more detail to avoid prejudicing the maintenance of the law.
