Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 3 March 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what date are any such consultations expected to close?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that for the week beginning 3 March 2025, the New Zealand Customs Service has not opened consultations with employees regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions. This response is inclusive of the staff of the Border Executive Board Secretariat as these staff are considered employees of the New Zealand Customs Service.
