Hon David Seymour: I am advised that Pharmac has one leased office space which spans 5 floors at Simpl House, 40 Mercer Street, Wellington. This space occupies a total of 2,298.36m2. The lease was due to end in 2024 but was extended for six years, to 31 December 2030. As of 1 January 2025, the rent is $1,040,762 plus GST per annum. Extending the lease was approved by the Government Property Group (GPG) before entering into negotiations with the landlord. The Pharmac Board approved the six-year lease renewal in the August 2024 meeting.
