Camilla Belich to the Associate Minister of Health: What technology or software systems, if any, used by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible have been identified as end-of-life, unsupported, or requiring urgent replacement since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, system name, purpose, and estimated replacement cost?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by Pharmac that a risk assessment and recommendation to replace the Pharmac Schedule production system was completed in 2025. The recommendation for replacement and estimated overall project cost is approximately $2-3 million. The portal for Clinicians to Apply for a Named Patient Pharmaceutical Assessment is also identified as end of life and an assessment and options for a replacement will be prepared in due course.
