9296 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Associate Minister of Health: Is the Pharmac funding announced on 29 April 2024 a hidden liability for a future government, if not, why not?

Hon David Seymour: The funding provided for Pharmac is not a hidden liability for a future government, as the funding provided in 2027/28 has been baselined into the outyears. This contrasts with funding provided through Budget 22 which was provided for two years only and funding provided through Budget 23 which was provided on a one year basis only.
