Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation advises me that its systems are not configured to provide this information on a per-event basis and therefore the data cannot be provided in the time allowed for responding to written questions. For completeness, the Department has searched its systems for any single invoice greater than $10,000 that relates to hui, conferences, away-days, or staff events (excluding training) and has found no single invoices greater than $10,000. The Department has a Sensitive Expenditure Policy in place; and, among other things, this Policy requires approval by a Deputy Director-General if hiring an external venue for a meeting or event would cost more than $5,000.
