9295 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What changes, if any, have been made to any policies or procedures in Studylink regarding student allowances and student loans since 27 November 2023?

Hon Louise Upston: Policies relating to student allowance and student loans are the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and falls under the portfolio responsibilities of the Minister for Universities. While the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) administers the related payments, they do not make policy decisions for student allowance or student loan. I am advised by the Ministry that there have been no changes in procedure specifically relating to the administration of student loans or student allowance since 27 November 2023.
