9276 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: What hui, conferences, away-days, or staff events, if any, costing more than $10,000 in total have been held by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, event name or purpose, date, location, number of attendees, and total cost?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry for Culture and Heritage report on conferences and seminars as part of the Estimates and Annual Review Select Committee examinations. The information requested, to the extent it is available, is held within the Ministry's response to 2023/24 Annual review of the Ministry for Culture and Heritage Written Questions. I refer the member to Question 99, on page 53, of the Ministry for Culture and Heritage 2023/24 Annual review: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCSSC_EVI_e7113766-5372-4670-6fe3-08dcebf31e9f_SSC10704/5d176172855b773221a0a77b5c352bd5faf6ad4c. Further information will likely be included in the upcoming Estimates review. As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the additional material requested (the requested information for the entities I am responsible for, data to the current date, events costing more than $10,000, event name or purpose, date, location, number of attendees, and total cost), as it will require a significant diversion of resource. The Member may wish to consider asking a more specific question.
