9274 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: What proposals or plans, if any, does the Minister have to build or consent housing in the Westport/Buller region?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that there are no current proposals or plans for additional housing under active consideration by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development for the Westport/ Buller region. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that as at 28 February 2025 it expects to deliver 24 social homes in Westport, Buller District to June 2026.
