9270 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Regulation: How, if at all, has the Ministry used AI in the consideration of its submissions on the Regulatory Standards Bill?

Hon David Seymour: Officials advise that the Ministry for Regulation is using AI for part of the submissions analysis process to assess submitters’ opinion on the proposal. This is being conducted alongside qualitative and thematic analysis by staff. Once the analysis has been completed and considered by Ministers, an overview of the methodology will be available in the summary of submissions published on the Ministry’s website.
