9252 (2025). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Further to WPQ 7069 (2025), what is being exported to China and by who?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that since 1 March 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade granted 16 export permits to China. The permits were for various goods and technologies in telecommunications and information security, simulation-related optical technology, firearms (including parts, accessories, and ammunition), as well as bacterial cultures. It is not in the public interest to release exporter details to avoid commercial prejudice
