9244 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many new positions, if any, are required by Te Whatu Ora in FY24/25 to meet planned care targets, by professional group (Nursing, Senior Medical Officer, Resident Medical Officers etc) as at 19 April 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health NZ does not have models of the number of additional positions required to meet planned care targets by professional group. I am further advised that there are range of steps which Health NZ will take to meet planned care targets. The planning is yet to be completed and is subject to further decisions.
