9216 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Are the meals provided by the School Lunch Collective meeting current nutritional guidelines; if so, then why has a registered nutritionist stated they are not meeting current guidelines?
Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the School Lunch Collective (the Collective) menu for Term 1, has 10 meal options which have been approved by the Ministry and meet the nutritional standards, available on their website at:

The temporary flexi-menu was introduced the week starting 3 March by the Collective. The Ministry has been advised that where the main meal alone does not meet the nutritional standards (for example does not contain vegetables), additional food items such as fruit or vegetables will be added.
