9212 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How many, if any, cases of harm in care is the Oranga Tamariki Child Protection Investigation Unit currently investigating?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Child Protection Investigation Unit is not currently focusing on individual cases as at this stage they are reviewing the systems and practices of Oranga Tamariki related to the safety of children in care.
