9190 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: What percentage of New Zealand's construction and building sector workforce are currently older than 55 years?

Hon Chris Penk: This data was most recently correlated in December 2022 from the Household Labour Force Survey, when 19% of the total work force were aged 55 (see Figure 4 of the Workforce dynamics and demographics chapter of the Building and Construction Sector Trends Annual report 2023).
