9103 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Was the Primary Principals’ Collective Bargaining Union consulted with regarding the new Education Review Office review system prior to the announcement on 17 March 2026; if not, why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Primary Principals’ Bargaining Union was not consulted on ERO’s new school reports. The PPCBU is a collective bargaining union focusing on terms and conditions of principal’s employment. Members of the PPCBU belong to the New Zealand Principals Federation, who were consulted on ERO's new school reports.
