9088 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Justice: In response to Reply 6199 (2026), does the Minister stand by their statement regarding the Government clamping down on overdue court fines, that "Victims are our priority and we’re ensuring they receive what they’re owed"; if so, why are reparations paid to victims, if any, not being tracked from this initiative?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: ANPR is being used as part of a proof of concept and remains in the early stages of implementation. Enhanced reporting on the impacts of ANPR, including on reparation outcomes for victims has now been developed. I can advise that approximately $1.1m has been collected between 9 July 2025 – 9 January 2026, $56,000 of which is reparation.
