9025 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What advice, briefings or meetings did the Minister or her officials have with Fire and Emergency New Zealand regarding the intention to deduct pay from firefighters who engage in strike action, if any?

Hon Brooke van Velden: My office was informed by Fire and Emergency New Zealand on 9 March 2026 that, at 2pm that day, it would notify affected employees of proposed pay deductions in relation to partial strike action notified to commence on 23 March 2026, consistent with section 95B of the Employment Relations Act 2000.
