8962 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Education: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, what demographic data is being collected about the number of staff being made redundant, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that these decisions are still to be finalised and are subject to staff consultation. All staffing decisions are the responsibility of the Secretary for Education or Chief Executive. Decisions relating to Budget 2024 are currently classified as Budget Sensitive and will be publicly released in due course.
