Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: If the Minister accepts the recommendations, how does the Minister expect the National Emergency Management Agency will implement recommendation 6 of the Report of the Government Inquiry into the Response to the North Island Severe Weather Events – to ‘increase capability and capacity in civil defence emergency management across New Zealand’ - when the National Emergency Management Agency is focused on ‘credible savings options’ in its workforce?
