Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, out of hours compliance visits have been conducted by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's (MBIE) Immigration Compliance & Investigations team, between 1 July 2015 and 6 March 2025, broken down per year by age and country of origin?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached table for the numbers of out of hours visits including nationality by financial year from 1 July 2015 to 2 May 2023. I am advised that providing information showing the age of the individuals involved would require substantial manual review of a large number of files. I am not prepared to commit the time and resource required to provide a substantive response to this question in the time available. I am further advised that following the commission of the Mike Heron KC review in May 2023 to review out of hours visits a pause was placed on Immigration Compliance and Investigations staff conducting out of hours visits. This means that from May 2023 until the review recommendations were completed there were zero out of hours visits completed. I can further advise that since the release of the standard operating procedures in February 2024 there have been zero out of hours visits conducted by Immigration Compliance and Investigations staff.
