8937 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many vacant roles identified to be cut as a result of the hospital savings announcement, if any, have been escalated to head of hospital services, if any?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand has not cut any vacant roles to date, nor have any vacant roles been identified and escalated to the National Director Hospital and Specialist Services since the announcement about hospital savings initiatives.
