8927 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Did the Minister personally discuss the Gang Legislation Amendment Bill with Jonathan Ayling of the Free Speech Union and if so did he agree that sunset clauses, a review, and approval by the attorney general are good protections, as reported by Jonathan Ayling at the Justice Select Committee on 23 April 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I do recall encountering Jonathan Ayling in an informal setting. My recollection is only that I agreed legislative reviews can be useful from time to time.
