8912 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: What correspondence, if any, broken down by date and title, has the Minister's departments, if any, received from Finance Minister Nicola Willis regarding cost savings?

Hon Nicola Willis: Any correspondence that my Department may have received from me (as Minister of Finance) related to cost savings will be part of the Budget 2025 process and under active consideration. Any details regarding correspondence of this nature will be subject to Budget Sensitivity and will be released as part of the Budget 2025 proactive release Please note, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is not part of the Budget appropriations, as such the RBNZ received two items of correspondence regarding cost savings: • 3 April 2024: Minister’s Expectations for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand • 3 April 2024: Expectations for the 2025-2030 Funding Agreement proposal and review process
