8908 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: As of 1 April 2024 how many claims to Toka Tū Ake EQC from the Cyclone Gabrielle Event are outstanding?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that as at the close of business 31 March 2024, 80 percent of claims for the Cyclone Gabrielle event had been settled, with 742 remaining claims from a total of 3,683 received. I am advised that some of these claims have been recently lodged and homeowners have two years from the date of the event to do so.
