8905 (2024). Steve Abel to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: Has the minister received an evaluation of the measures in place to support the improvement of winter grazing, and if so, who prepared this evaluation?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I have received advice on winter grazing from the Ministry for Primary Industries and the Ministry for the Environment. This noted that education, outreach, and the promotion of good practice have supported farmers to make significant changes to their winter grazing practice. Regional councils may also have specific measures in place to support winter grazing improvement.
