8874 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What will happen to Te Pukenga's Strategic Disability Action Plan once Te Pukenga is disestablished?

Hon Penny Simmonds: All tertiary education organisations that received more than $5 million in TEC funding and are required to submit a Strategic Plan must also submit and publish a Disability Action Plan (DAP). Subject to any yet to be confirmed transition arrangements each new institute of technology or polytechnic that is stood up separate from Te Pūkenga, will be required to adopt its own DAP, as will any federated entities. Te Pūkenga and its business divisions are working together to document and transfer knowledge around supporting disabled learners for future organisations.
