8857 (2025). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, citizens and residents in New Zealand were born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or hold citizenship for the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that for Immigration New Zealand to provide data on New Zealand residents in New Zealand who were born in or hold Democratic Republic of the Congo citizenship would require substantial collation which would prevent staff from undertaking their substantive roles. I do not consider this to be in the public interest.
