8845 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many individuals, if any, are directly employed or contracted by the Health Commissioner’s office and what is the total annual cost to Health NZ of these individuals’ salaries or fees?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised the Commissioner’s office does not hold a budget, and that staff there work across both the Commissioner’s office and the Chief Executive’s office, and have been appointed by the Chief Executive.
