8810 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Was the $0.84 cent top-up to the $3 per meal Compass lunches in the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme factored into the publicly announced $130m being saved annually through the programme changes; if not, why not?
Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the $0.84 to provide additional food items to Year 9 + students who receive meals under the School Lunch. The forecasted $9.1m cost of the two additional food items was factored into the publicly announced $130m being saved annually through the programme changes.
