8808 (2026). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: Further to his reply to Question 56334 (2025), what functional improvements to staff and function areas at Premier House are being undertaken and why are these improvements required?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: A programme of remedial work is underway; this is aligned with the long-term maintenance plan for the site. Works are required to ensure the property remains weathertight, staff and service areas are fit-for purpose, and the functionality and standards of the state areas are increased. These works will protect the property from further degradation and will allow for greater utilisation of the hosting spaces and will ensure the heritage of the property is preserved.
