Hon Simon Watts: Mr Carnegie was not required to leave his role as Chief Executive of Energy Resources Aotearoa as a condition of appointment to the EECA board. It is the responsibility of the Chair of EECA to manage conflicts of interest, and create conflict of interest management plans within the board.
