Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 24 February 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles were affected?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that no such consultations were opened with employees for the week beginning 24 February at the Ministry of Transport. I am advised that in the week beginning 24 February 2025, NZTA began consultation on proposed changes in the Customer and Services Group. 16 roles are potentially affected by the proposed changes: - 10 roles are proposed to have a minor change i.e. a change to position title, reporting line or minor changes to duties; and - 6 roles are proposed to be disestablished. Five new roles are proposed to be established.
