8662 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: What explains the increase the $61 million in the Financial Year 2024/25 Draft Budget for the Hospital and Specialist Services Appropriation?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that in FY 2024/25, the Statement of Performance Expectations (SPE) figures were prepared before the detailed mental health ringfence budgets were available. I am also advised that documents released as part of a recent OIA request, H2025077093, reflect the detailed mental health ringfence budget. I am further advised this explains the movement between the Hospital and Specialist Services Appropriation and the Delivering Primary, Community, Public and Population Health Services Appropriation.
