Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (September – December 2023) toward the objective ‘Increase the integration and coordination of hepatitis C services across the sector’ under ‘Focus area 5: Integration and access to care’ in the National Hepatitis C Action Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October – December 2023 quarter, the recently completed National Hepatitis C Health Pathway was promoted to primary care and Māori health providers to help strengthen the delivery of consistent approaches to Hepatitis C treatment. I am also advised that during the quarter a range of Hepatitis C promotional resources were published for primary care on He Ako Hiringa.
