Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (September – December 2023) has been made toward actioning ‘Workforce training and guidance’ under Focus area 3: Testing and linkage to care actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that during the October – December 2023 quarter, the Burnett Foundation provided workforce training to extend the range of providers able to provide HIV testing to the most at-risk groups. This included training for the new kaupapa Māori HIV service provider, Toitū te Ao.
