8594 (2026). Steve Abel to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What advice, briefings, correspondence, or communications, if any, has the Minister received about the closure procedures of the animal containment facility at Ruakura in Waikato, as required by HSNO?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that I have not received any advice about the closure procedures of the animal containment facility at Ruakura in Waikato. HSNO is administered by the Ministry for the Environment, and is enforced by the Environmental Protection Authority.
