8593 (2026). Steve Abel to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What advice, briefings, correspondence, or communications, if any, has the Minister received about the removal of heritable material from the animal containment facility at Ruakura in Waikato, as required by HSNO?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that I have not received any advice about the removal of heritable material from the animal containment facility at Ruakura in Waikato. HSNO is administered by the Ministry for the Environment, and is enforced by the Environmental Protection Authority.
