8586 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Will the Minister commit to retaining the current role of the Chief Librarian at Alexander Turnbull Library, as one that is dedicated to this unique collection of national significance?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The role of the Chief Librarian at the Alexander Turnbull Library is specified by section 13 of the National Library of New Zealand (Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa) Act 2003. Removal of this role would require legislative change.
