8579 (2026). Steve Abel to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: What consultation, if any, will be conducted with animal welfare organisations regarding a code of welfare for pigs?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: Public consultation on a revised Code of Welfare for Pigs and associated regulations took place from 29 April 2022 to 8 July 2022. I have committed to further consultation with various groups and the National Animal Welfare Advisory Committee.
