8577 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made this last quarter (October – December 2023) in implementing ‘Design and delivery of passive digital components (e.g. comms rooms, structured cabling) and engineering systems (e.g. BMS, Security) by the Main Contractor’ as part of Te Whatu Ora’s National Digital Facilities Framework?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in October – December 2023 quarter, the New Dunedin Hospital (NDH) was the only facility at an advanced enough stage to require design and delivery of passive digital components. As a result, no progress was made during the quarter in in implementing parallel national/regional software solutions.
